Thailand welcomed 17.5 million international tourists from January to June 2024. This marks a 34.98% increase from the 12.97 million tourist arrivals in the same period of 2023.
Assisting in achieving the 2025 target, a government representative disclosed plans for promotional initiatives aimed at driving foreign tourist arrivals. This goal comes as a recovery from the record high of nearly 40 million foreign tourists in 2019, a figure that was reached before the onset of the industry crushing Covid pandemic.
